This kind of punishment sends the message that association with femininity is shameful and humiliating--a message that is inherently degrading and disrespectful to women as co-inheritors to God's kingdom, equal in value and dignity to men. Associating feminintiy with humiliation and punishment is surely not a message that complementarians want to latch on to, no? I'm thinking that this is something towards which both and radical feminists (of which I am one) and complementarians should be united in opposition.
