Dave,

Giving your life to Jesus and trusting Him as Savior does bring happiness, but perhaps there is room to fine tune the desires of your heart.

I used to view God as a happiness vending machine... that if I did all the steps and shook God the right way, happiness would fall out. Perhaps there are times when holiness should be the target rather than "happiness". Perhaps God Himself is the source of our joy, not the delivery man. Perhaps understanding who we are as terrible sinners loved enough to be rescued by God, through Christ, is the only thing that gives us enough joy to last for eternity.

Praising God for Jesus and serving Him is the only thing that has given me unshakable joy to date. Best of luck Dave.

Hi ,Im dave.Im 42 yrs old and I am searching for answers to life's questions. So far Ive explored worldly things, but they only keep me in pursuit of happyness.Somehow,i feel led to believe that reading the Bible, praying, and even salvation can bring true happyness.Im leaning towards these things.God knows, ill probably return again and again to the world for answers.amen.david.
